Denominational Considerations for Online Communion

Abstract

Conversation and guidance related to Holy Communion in digitally mediated communities is a topic that will be before the church well into the future. Like many theological matters, there is a variety of interpretations and understandings. This essay highlights some of the high-level implications and future direction of this study and conversation as it relates to the various expressions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
