The Hope of Grace: An Essay Exploring the New Atheism, the Church, and the Gospel
Abstract
This article explores the significance of the new atheism movement for Christianity and the church. This is accomplished first by examining some of the major convictions in the new atheism. The convictions of the new atheism are then used to consider, from a Lutheran perspective, the meaning that the new atheism holds for Christianity and the church. The article ultimately demonstrates that the Gospel is the hope for both the church and all of humanity.Â
