Constructing a Theology of Mission
Abstract
This article does not propose a practice of mission but constructs a theology of mission. In constructing a theology of mission, three interrelated themes are necessary: 1) a biblical theology of mission—mission theology must be grounded in the Bible—the whole Bible being a missionary document; 2) a Trinitarian theology of mission—the Triune God is primarily and ultimately involved in one mission of creation (Gen 1) and new creation (2 Cor 5:17); and 3) an ecclesial theology of mission—God uses the church as an agent of mission.Downloads
