The Vulnerability of Theology
Abstract
In the modern era, theology has been restricted to religious life. Instead, it should take God as its subject matter and resist the gerrymandering that has been urged on it. Julian of Norwich points the way forward to consider how theology ought to concern all things as well as how it should negotiate the differences that come about when theology primarily concerns God hidden and God crucified.
